I love weekends. Weekends are the best.
I can't believe I haven't mentioned this yet, but we have a crawler! It started last week and now he's got it down pat. He's pulling up to standing, and basically nothing is safe anymore. He's also started doing something that looks suspiciously close to starting to stand up. Heaven help us.
Nathan is developing a love affair with the broom. The best way to get him to follow me around is for me to sweep. He LOVES it. My instinct is always to keep the dirty thing away from him, and then I remind myself that dirt is good for babies. It pretty much goes against every bone in my body. He also adores his twilight turtle. I'm almost positive it came from Aunt Mary. For those who aren't familiar, the turtle shines stars on the ceiling, in three different colors. Buttons that do things are pretty much the best thing in our world right now, so the twilight turtle is a home run. Especially at night when people are cranky.
The boys are pretty cute these days. Brian was swinging Nathan in the bouncy chair and the giggles were adorable. He's really getting too tall for the thing, but he loves it so much we can't bring ourselves to take it down.
Also, Nathan's started doing this thing, usually when he's eating, where he puts both hands on his head. He totally loves it when the person he's with mirrors him. He finds it hysterical. Cathy's started saying, "I'm so confused!"
He's babbling more and more, but he's still working on linking words with meaning. The one that he's got a total lock on is "Boo!" We hear it a lot when he's trying to surprise us. It's a hybrid between peek-a-boo and just straight up boo. I'm more than happy to act surprised/scared as many times as he wants me to.
We're at 5 teeth now and suspect a 6th is looming.
Oh my goodness, he has sooo much hair!!! and visible TEETH!! Where is my little baby nephew!?! AND I absolutely LOVE the "i'm so confused" act : )
