Hot! Hot! Hot!

We had the most fabulous weekend. Brian and I got to play pick up volleyball again Saturday morning thanks to Mom babysitting. Thanks, Mom!

With temperatures nearing 90 this weekend things were HOT.  We figured it would be the perfect time to blow up our huge kiddie pool. It was another Christmas present that has been lying in wait until we could put it to good use. We had to jerry-rig a blow up solution with a leaf blower and a garbage bag with the help of our neighbor, Earl, but it worked like a charm!

The water was FREEZING on Saturday afternoon when we first filled it up, though it certainly felt good on our feet. Nathan agreed.

Today we had my parents, Liz, John, and the kids over for lunch and water sports. The kids were loving the pool, sprinkler, and water table. It was so much fun to watch them play. Hopefully the novelty of the pool doesn't die off too quickly in comparison with their huge creek! Ted and Angela fly in tomorrow! We can't wait to add them into the mix!

Happy 4 Year Anniversary!

It's been 4 years since Brian and I said our vows. I have beans to show for it.

Hahaha. See what I did there? Seriously though, I have beans!

This is the face I had when Mom told me that I wouldn't have brussel sprouts until the fall. They are shading my basil.

Mom took our picture.

Nathan observed.

And we were on our way. We biked to downtown to dinner, ate outside, and walked to gelato. Not bad for 4 years. Happy Anniversary, Honey!

Father's Day

Mom and Dad came over for lunch on Sunday to celebrate Father's Day. It was so nice of them to come to us. They got to see what Nathan's been up to, namely, wearing funny outfits and walking with help. We didn't take too many pictures, but I did get a funny video of the boys.

Water Table

We are halfway into June and it is fair to say that our water table is going to get plenty of use this summer. It was a gift from Nanny Kay and Pop Pop for Christmas, and we have just been WAITING for it to get warm enough to set it up. Nathan adores it. He will play for ages at it, happily entertained with dumping water out on the deck. He's also gotten the concept of dumping water into the bucket to move the waterwheel, but unfortunately, the cup is almost always already empty by the time he makes it up to the bucket. Ah well, that's what the rest of the summer is for. Sometimes I'm smart and strip him down before we even start. Other times, we start out dressed and shed layers as we go. Love that happy little body!

There are a few other fun shots we have gotten over the past week or two as we enjoy the beautiful weather. This Spring has been fabulous for the most part. I'm hoping the summer is just as great.
