Red and the Wolf - Halloween

For whatever reason, I was totally committed to Halloween costumes this year and thought it wouldn't be too hard to create an adorable duo of Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Nathan's costume was based on the idea that I didn't know how hard it would be to convince my (at the time) very stubborn 3 year old into an elaborate costume. How much could he revolve against a sweatshirt and pants? It was a total success.

Vivian's cloak was where I really peaked. While it wasn't perfect, I have to admit that I'm inordinately proud of of that thing. She loved wearing it around, and I was desperate to get a good photo of her in the whole costume, but I think I wanted it to badly. She sensed it and was too excited.

They both had a great time and this was the first year that Nathan was really excited about it before we went. I think he would have done about a million houses, but it was threatening rain and was drizzling a bit too much for everyone's tastes. Our awesome neighbors were sweet enough to take a family photo, and it's one of my favorites from the past year.

Great Halloween party at Liz's- from Nonnie

I have more pictures on my phone, but these are pretty darn cute. I am pretty darn proud of Vivian's cape. And Nathan looked much more fierce than I had originally intended. :) My spectacles freaked Vivian out much more than expected so I had to take them off.

Halloween Parties!

Liz had everyone over for their Annual Halloween party and seriously out did herself with the food this year. The stand out had to be the brain cake. Red riding hood and the wolf had a great time (as did the wood cutter and Grandma.

We also had some of the family over for a Wednesday night dinner near Halloween and Leah especially got a kick out of the props that I had bought for the occasion.

I love Halloween!
