Windows to the soul, part 1

There has been much speculation about the color of Nat's eyes. While the odds that he inherits Brian's stunning blue eyes is unlikely given my own indecisive grey/blue/green eyes, I think it's fair to say we're still holding out hope.  It's been fascinating to watch them change over the last few weeks.

At the beginning they were a dark (almost navy) blue, and over time they have started to lighten, from the inside out. We are trying to take pictures of them to document the change, but it's difficult to get a pure shot. It turns out that it's hard to take a close up picture of a baby's eyes without it looking super creepy. We'll keep trying though. Something tells me that we'll love them no matter what color they end up being.  I added the last one as a reminder of what we're hoping for. Click on the photos to make them larger.
