This week, we've actually started getting the social smile that melts your heart. It's not just in my head either. I have witnesses! My cheeks are starting to hurt from trying to elicit them. I really don't understand why babies aren't born with this ability - it is such a powerful evolutionary tool. It's especially helpful between the hours of 1 and 5 am.
Unfortunately, we have yet to really capture the big grin on any camera other than our phones. Forgive the blur.
The first time he smiled at me, it was hard to believe what a big grin he had. It just lit up his face. I was willing to do almost anything for another one. It's a good thing he couldn't ask me to rob a bank!
