Our 80/20 reality

I like to say that we bat about 80% when we go out with the kids. That's about how often we get pretty good behavior out of Nathan/Vivian and we feel it was a generally enjoyable and positive experience. The other 20% are usually because we pushed things too far, stress me right out, and make me never want to leave the house again. I don't know if other parents play the same odds, but I want it documented that this is our reality at the moment. We look pretty happy in the pictures, right? Well, we had met up with Brian after work at the local beer garden and Nathan was shot before we left the house due to a short nap. When we had to leave to get him home for bed and Brian was staying behind - meltdown. Don't worry though, we went out for breakfast the next day and had a lovely time. The odds were in our favor, after all.
