After a cancelled flight followed by a delayed flight, the Kellys finally arrived on the 27th. They were exhausted, but we couldn't have been any happier to welcome them.
Here are some of my favorites so far!

Christmas #4!
Christmas Eve day Brian and I had a low key day of errands and naps. There aren't any pictures. On Christmas Day Nonnie and Papa came over for Christmas lunch.
On boxing day Mo and Scott came over and spent the day with us. It started snowing and we proceeded to get about 4 inches of snow. It was beautiful. We celebrated with Taco King!

Baby boy(s)
These boys are too cute for words together. There was a great plan of matching ties and suspenders, but with a failed Etsy purchase we were going to make due with similar outfits. They both started out the day in ties, but by the time they were both awake at the same time and we got around to taking these, they had gotten a bit more comfortable. I don't think it matters much. They were both great for the shoot, and just so you know, I took about 4 times as many as I am posting. Nathan was fascinated with Carter, and Carter politely kept his hands to himself. I can't say the same for my own child.
Oh, and see those red cheeks? Our boy has his first tooth! P has shown it's little head, and we are anxiously awaiting O. Yesterday was the first time we gave him Motrin during the day. Carter, once again showed his precociousness, and his O and P popped up yesterday. Mom discovered them much to Jenny and Kurt's surprise. Jenny had checked the day before and hadn't even seen any swelling. If only we could be so lucky. Good boy, Carter.
Maybe my favorite of them. |
Both not so interested |
Love this one of Carter. |
"No way! Get out of here!" |
"Nathan, don't touch his face." |
"But look at that hair, Dad. It's so soft" |
"And what fine ears he has." |
"My parents say if I can't keep my hands to myself they'll move me." |
"I'll just sit here with my feet crossed until someone comes and takes the crazy kid away." |

Christmas #3
Merry Merry Merry Christmas to us. Today's Christmas was wonderful. Everyone coordinated so well, and of course I didn't get a group photo. I'm hoping to get some from Liz or Mom. We got to see ALL of the Donnells and finally got to meet Carter! Oh my goodness is that one darling baby. He's actually just about the same size as Nathan (a little bigger if I'm being honest) and just a sweet sweet bundle of cuteness. I'm going to have to do a whole separate post of the two boys together.
This year was the first year of the Christmas Talent Show. Highlights included Leah's singing of Snoopy vs. The Bloody Red Baron, Zach's signing of the alphabet, (up to p) the Donnell kids dancing to an elf yourself video, Mom's ability to hold a pop can in her mouth, Ted's juggling skills, and Liz and John's rendition on the violin and ukelele of Soul Sister (seriously amazing). I'm hoping it becomes a tradition.
Man, I just love these people. I can't wait to get everyone else's photos!
