Just a couple of the Kellys at the cottage - from Nonnie

Have you been wondering where we've gone? No one is even checking here anymore? I wouldn't blame you!

My computer has been undergoing some intense maintenance, and my in-house IT specialist, unfortunately for my computer, also has a full-time job. As a result, I haven't been uploading pictures and there have been no posts. I'm sorry everyone! My wonderful mother was good enough to upload hers from our 2 WEEKS at the cottage in July/August. They were FABULOUS. I can't delete any of them. Sorry, not sorry.

We had a rocky start but by week 2, we were all having a much easier time of it and Nathan and I were no longer sick.

(Need to insert our adventure getting up there here)

Selfishly, I love how many of these pictures I'm in! Also, the ones where we are all dressed up were an attempt at a Christmas card photo, that's certainly not our regular cottage attire.

There were huge dock spiders, lots of boat rides, wonderful weather and warm water, and lots of good cuddle time. Vivian was in a bit of weird spot with sleeping for the first time since we sleep trained at 6 months, and the thin cottage walls were not the best place to address that, so while sleep was a bit tricky, we certainly had no trouble wearing the kids out.

Both kids loved boat rides, kayaking, and generally being down by the water. Nathan loved fishing with the nets and even caught a little fish with his Snoopy pole. It wasn't a keeper, but it made an impression. S'mores were a hit, and Vivian's curls keep getting curlier. They are longer now, of course, but I still love seeing these.

I can't wait to go through my back log and post with the ones from my camera too. The onslaught will be substantial. I wish I were writing this post closer to when we went so that I could hold on to more of the specifics, but let's just say, it was lovely.

  1. Thank you for taking and posting these, Chris. I love coming back to them, especially as the weather heads into winter. <3
