Nathan at 2.5 - boring videos

Yesterday I was watching some of the old videos I have of Nathan on my phone. A lot of them I never posted because honestly they aren't anything hugely interesting. They were just me capturing these little snippets of my darling boy. I was just soaking them up, basking in the cuteness of Nathan before he was even one and realizing that I don't take enough videos of him doing nothing but be himself. One day, I'll watch these and remember what he was like when he was 2.5 and think about how he was pretty great. So, fair warning, this is mostly for me. This is just a boring couple of videos that capture by guy being himself in the morning after his daily banana fix but before we ate oatmeal.

His imagination is ever expanding (I love overhearing him pretend in the bath - "Oh no! I'm stuck on a boat! It ok, he come help you. Mama, my man is stuck on his boat.") and he has a habit of narrating the minutiae of his existence ("putting shoes on, climbing up the stairs, not being quiet," etc.). Frogs often find a way onto my head and dinosaurs are constantly attacking and wanting to be petted (those ferocious beasts).

The first 15 seconds are a staring contest between the two of us as he tested to see if  I had been serious about my threat. Following when the first video cut off I had told him that if any of the oats came out of the can, I'd have to take it away. Highlights of this video include when he says, "and we eat it and we eat it and we eat it and we eat it." Clearly, Nathan thinks we have oatmeal just a tad too often.

Have I mentioned that I think the video capability of our new camera is fantastic?
