Vivian's 2 month checkup

Vivian had her 2 month checkup today and while I didn't take any pictures because it was just me with both kids, but she totally rocked it. Nathan made his mama proud with his excellent behavior (you never would have known we started the day with an epic tantrum due to Brian leaving for work). She got a clean bill of health and updated stats. I don't remember percentiles (Nathan was talking to me, the Dr, was saying the stats, and I was putting on her diaper) and I honestly don't know which chart they use to calculate these things, so let's just say, she's plenty heavy and tallish, shall we? I'm feeling very grateful that she's in a place where I am not worried about any of the numbers particularly.

Height: 23.5 inches
Weight: 11 lbs 13 oz (though she had a onsie and a wet diaper on, so it's probably more like 11 lbs 7ish oz)
Head: 15 inches

She wasn't a fan of the shots, and she was definitely more fussy today than her usual, but I'm hoping she'll be over the worst of the "don't touch my legs!" phase by the morning. Nathan was very concerned about her today when she was upset, and a few times as she was sleeping and we were doing something else, he'd say, "check on Viv" and run to go make sure things were fine. Over the last week or so we've had a few moments where he tests out a little aggression with her (one instance of a little face scratching, but mostly just saying things like, "hit Viv" and not following through). I can't say that I blame him for being none to thrilled with having to share the limelight, and overall I've been super impressed that he's as sweet as he is with her. In the pictures below (from today) he had begged to get in the crib with her and kept "nuggling" Viv and kissing her.

For her part, Vivian watches EVERYTHING Nathan does. He's definitely her favorite person to watch, which I find fascinating. I wouldn't have thought that it would start this young, and when others have commented on it, I thought they were just humoring me, but the doctor actually said, "Wow, he's her favorite, clearly. She really watches him, doesn't she?" unprompted and in a surprised tone today as well. Darling kids.

hahaha, doesn't she look terrified here?
