Mi Familia

The pictures are in! Overall I think it was great result for that many moving parts and one hour of her time! My favorites include, but are not limited to, Liz's family photos, Leah and Violet's individuals, the one of Viv and me, and the one of the girls with their grandparents.          

Photo shoot!

We had some pictures taken, the kids and I. I am so excited about them. I'm so often behind the camera that the ones I have with me and the kids without a stain on my shirt I just adore. I have no idea how they will turn out, but Mom came and helped me wrangle the kids, and I think she managed to get some great ones as a backup photographer! Unfortunately, our time slot was smack dab in between when Nathan usually eats lunch and takes a nap, so he was  entering his least cooperative phase of the day. Viv hung in there admirably the whole time considering she'd been up much longer than she usually is.

This was  kind of his general demeanor by the end, though he never truly reached meltdown status. 

We went inside after our session to look around the antiques/architectural salvage shop and on our way out Nathan was running through the parking lot and took a huge digger. His lower lip got seriously busted by his teeth. It is, to date, the most blood I've seen come out of one of my children. His lip is now very impressively puffy and gross looking, poor guy. I'll add pictures if I can get a good one. 

Oh, and you may spy a little chalkboard in the background of one or two of the photos. I had an idea to play a prank with Viv holding it but decided no one needed a heart attack, least of all Brian.
