Nathan got to meet so many new people and was quite honestly a champ through both Thanksgiving and the engagement party for Kylleen & Andrew and Meghan & John. Nathan's feet hardly ever touched the ground for the entire time we were in PA. I'll just let the photos speak for themselves.

Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving! We certainly did.

Blogging from the airport
I have one hand, and I love my iPhone. We are sitting at DTW after a gate change and being sent to the outer regions known as terminal C. Our flight has just been delayed so the feeding that was so beautifully timed to be during takeoff worked as a nap inducer. N has been a trooper throughout and we are crossing our fingers for the flight itself. Wish us luck!

Absentee
I haven't posted anything in awhile. Sorry about that. Things are a little stressed in our house right now. I'd like to believe this is teething. Otherwise, I may have to throttle the poor little hurting man, and I don't want to do that. So teething it is.
Liz and John say that their kids just kind of took teeth in stride. Ours. Does. Not. Days are fine, nights are not.
I'll keep this short because he's actually sleeping now, we're still finishing up our packing for our trip to PA tomorrow, and let's be honest, people just want to see pictures anyway.
We went to the pediatrician for a growth check up. All is good on that front. His weight and head are staying put at the 25th percentile which is what we were hoping might happen. He's past 17lbs. now and it's just about the perfect little package to carry on your hip. As an afterthought I had her check his height. He's now almost 28 inches, at the 75th percentile. Long and lean, baby!
Here are some photos Mom took for our Christmas card. We're not using any of these, but let's be honest, I'm terrible at surprises. Thanks, Mom!

leaps and bounds!
I'm so glad Mom and Dad are back!
Have I mentioned that I love this age? This weekend Brian and I kept looking at each other and saying, "Have you seen him do that before?"
He's been babbling a ton with a lot of dadadadas (much to Brian's glee). He held out his arms for me to pick him up. He reached for a bagel piece on my plate and fussed until I gave it to him to gnaw on. He sat up for a good 15 seconds on his own.... the list goes on. Each thing seems tiny, but it seems like a thousand tiny things happening all at once! He's starting to slow down on the eating binge he's been on the last week or so which this pumping mama is very grateful for. I am hoping it was a growth spurt that we're coming to the end of. He's loving solids right now, and we're all amazed by how much he can pack in there! I wasn't in a rush to introduce them, but watching him gobble it down is very satisfying.
Also, I can't help myself - I think he's just beautiful.
